Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, announced today that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with its technology partner Huawei — a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider – to further extend and enhance both companies’ strategic partnership in the fields of telecommunications and information technology. The MoU was signed as part of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al Sabah’s recent state visit to the People’s Republic of China to discuss mutual economic developments.
Zain Group Chairman Asaad Ahmad Al-Banwan and Huawei’s Vice President of Middle East Region He Tao, signed the MoU following a comprehensive meeting between the two partners. During the meeting, Zain and Huawei discussed the latest state-of-the-art mobile technologies that are been rolled-out and tested by Zain. Discussion also centered on the potential of several dynamic business practices to further extend the strategic partnership and better keep up with the fast-paced changes that are taking place in the IT and telecom sectors. Strategies to reduce churn and improve customer retention in hyper-competitive markets were also discussed during the meetings.
Zain strongly believes that effective communication is a key ingredient to a successful relationship between partners, and the signing of this latest MoU is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to better advance its services and provide the market with the very best products.
