The municipality of Al Ain city has announced it has diverted traffic at the Choueifat School Roundabout due to the construction of an interchange, as a part of the development project to streamline traffic in the city’s private schools district, Gulf News has reported. According to the plan, the Choueifat School Roundabout will be converted into a signal-regulated interchange along with the building of enhanced parking facility with a capacity for 880 cars with streamlined entry and exit for private cars. In July 2013, the municipality had announced the Dhs119m project includes converting roundabouts into interchanges, expansion of internal roads and installation of traffic signals. The project is expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year.
