Dubai Metro resumes normal operations after incident

: Wednesday, July 23 - 2014 @ 07:13

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has said Dubai Metro has resumed normal operations on Tuesday morning, after limited disruption on Monday affected three stations, Gulf News has reported. The disruption was caused by a truck tyre that fell on the Metro viaduct from a bridged interchange between Jebel Al and Danube stations after a road accident in the early hours of Monday. “The repairs have been done during ‘engineering hours’ and we completed testing way before service to make sure of the safety of our passengers,” said director of operations at the RTA’s Rail Agency, Mohammad Yousuf Al Mudharreb.
