Qatar Gas Transport Co (Nakilat) has reported a 24% increase in its net profits to QR446m in the first half of this year, compared with QR360m in the same period last year, Kuna has reported. “The strong results of the company’s earnings clearly reflect the strength and stability of the company’s financial position, and the prudent and effective strategic plan related to the development of the company’s main business activities in the transportation of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to include international markets,” Nakilat said. The company’s LNG shipping fleet is the largest in the world, comprising some 61 LNG vessels. It also manages and operates four large LPG carriers.
