Offshore Support Vessel ME Forum 2014, a one day conference to discuss the trends and changes in the offshore support vessel market concluded successfully on 25th June 2014 here in Dubai.
The event was organized by Emirates International Maritime Academy (EIMA) and Aries International Maritime Research Institute (AIMRI) at the EIMA campus and was inaugurated by Mr.Sohan Roy, President – International Maritime Club (IMC) and CEO, Aries Group of Companies.
The seminar was scheduled in 4 sessions that included informative papers covering different topics like Efficiency improvement parameters for offshore operations, Crewing and manning factors. MLC compliance for managing OSVs, Financial concerns in the offshore sector operations, Dynamic positioning elements for offshore operations, QHSE aspects in OSV operations, OSV design and Technological challenges, Market demand on OSVs cost and technology, Operating downtown for vessels, Charter regulations & compliance aspects and Regulatory & Classification requirement of OSVs. 25th of June being the Seafarers Day, the event also paid its homage to the seafarers across the world through this one day event. The event platform posed as an informative platform for the delegates to share knowledge, interact and network with the likes of their industry.
