Oman’s state-owned Omran has unveiled plans to expand the four-star Atana hotel brand in the sultanate and abroad in the coming years, Times of Oman has reported. “In 2013, the Golden Tulip Hotel in Khasab was converted into Atana Khasab and a new hotel named Atana Musandam was constructed and a soft opening was held last month in Musandam,” Abdul Wahid Al Farsi, VP, external affairs at Omran, told the daily. “In the coming years, we will have more Atana hotels all over Oman and in the region,” he said. “The Atana brand will contribute towards domestic and foreign tourism, generate increased revenues for the country, make a significant contribution towards Omanisation and, most importantly, will support Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and local communities in Oman,” Al Farsi added.
