Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a 2km segment of Jumeirah Corniche, which is currently being developed, is to open to the public during Ramadan, Gulf News has reported. The rest of the 14km long corniche project, stretching from Jumeirah Mosque to Burj Al Arab, is expected to be ready by October this year, as 55% of the overall work has been completed. The Dhs100m project, which began last year, will include a five metre-wide walking track, a four metre-wide jogging track, extension of the existing cycling tracks in Jumeirah, recreational facilities, rest areas, as well as retail kiosks and shaded benches overlooking the beach.
