Arab Contractors to participate in Suez Canal project
The Arab Contractors Company (AC), Egypt’s leading construction firm, announced it will participate in digging the new Suez Canal and Suez Canal development project, Mubasher reported. The company began studies of executing six new tunnels to serve the new canal; three in Port Said and three others in Ismailia. It is also considering sending its dredgers to the project. The state-run company will take a main role in digging the six tunnels, in cooperation with Orascom, and will help in the development of Suez Canal and operating the new Canal, said Mohsen Salah, Chairman Arab Contractors.
