International Property Show kicks off at DICEX
The 10th International Property Show, which coincides with the Annual Investment Meeting 2014, kicks off tomorrow (Tuesday, 8th April) at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEX), with participation of over 300 companies from 80 countries.
The show, only of its kind in DICEX for retail properties, expects16,000 visitors from all over the UAE and the region, hunting for residential units.
Dawood Al Shezawi, CEO, Strategic Marketing & Exhibitions, organizers of the International Property Show, said, “We anticipate large number of visitors from UAE and the region as well as the wider markets specially since that it is the first show after Dubai’s successful Expo 2020. We have completed all preparations to host an exceptional show, reflecting the remarkable growth of the property sector in the UAE.”
The show comes at a time international companies are reinforcing their presence in the UAE market, following a global restoration of confidence in the local real estate market.
Al Shezawi added, “Dubai is proving day after day its leading position on the international map. This is testified by the latest news about Dubai International Airport surpassing Heathrow Airport in the number of passengers to be number one in the world. This indicates that the UAE economic and touristic growth will give a big boost to the property sector.”
The exhibition, the biggest since its inception, which is supported by the Dubai Land Department, has emerged as one of the leading regional real-estate meeting platform for developers, investors and regional and international companies working in this field. Sponsored by over 80 media partners, the 10th edition of the show has attracted property developers and property related sectors.
“There is growing interest from real-estate developers from all over the world in the local market, especially Dubai, which is witnessing dynamic growth in the construction and infrastructure sectors,” added Al Shezawi
IPS 2014 will unveil a series of major regional projects from leading developers. The participating companies include 18% from Hotel & Leisure, 17% from Commercials and Residential (15%), Offices (15%), Retailers (13%), Urban Development Authorities (12%) and Free Zones (10%).
Exhibitors are coming from all over Europe, Asia Pacific and North and South-East Africa. These will include developers involved in the development of residential communities and high-rise buildings, entertainment facilities, retail outlets, financial institutions, banks and investment companies, pension funds, asset management companies, authorities, investment zones and engineers of construction and interior design.
