Bahrain records second consecutive double-digit growth in FDI

According to a report released by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Bahrain last year saw an 11% year-on-year jump in foreign direct investment to $989m, outpacing global FDI flows which rose by 9%, Gulf Daily News has reported. Last year was the second in a row featuring double-digit growth in FDI for the kingdom, since the global economic downturn. FDI into the kingdom in 2012 was $891m, up 14% over the previous year, the report said.
