British consultancy firm, The Business Year (TBY), has appointed Gulay Sultan as the new Project Director for its Abu Dhabi publication. The appointment comes as TBY initiates research in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) for the second edition of The Business Year: Abu Dhabi.
Ms. Sultan has been with TBY since 2010. In the past, she has collaborated with the Financial Times and Turkish national news broadcaster NTV. For TBY, Ms. Sultan has managed projects in Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Mexico, and Oman. In Abu Dhabi, she will be responsible for organizing interviews and attending meetings with senior executives, as well as organizing partnerships and representing TBY at important events.
“Her ability to connect with people and her understanding of different economies allied with her multi-cultural personality will be a valuable asset for our operations in Abu Dhabi,” said Betul Cakaloglu, Regional Director of TBY. “With Gulay’s extensive knowledge and experience, we have no doubt that The Business Year: Abu Dhabi 2015 will be a huge success”.
Commenting on her new project, Ms. Sultan explained: “As the capital of the UAE, Abu Dhabi represents the greatest place for investors to be. I have lived and worked in over 10 countries, and I am able to say that Abu Dhabi is the most appealing destination in the Middle East that I have found in terms of business opportunities. For that very reason, I look forward to promote it as a safe haven for investment.”
The Abu Dhabi 2015 edition of The Business Year will feature up to 200 face-to-face interviews with local business and political leaders. Written by experts based in the country, The Business Year: Abu Dhabi 2015 will provide in-depth analysis of the local business and political community for potential investors.
