The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange General Index (ADXGI) fell by 0.29 per cent to close at 4,944.16 points on Sunday, March 2. Market bellwether Etisalat, the first UAE firm and the most valuable company in the Gulf state, climbed by 0.10 per cent to AED12.40. Abu Dhabi National Energy Co (TAQA) plummeted by 4.73 per cent to AED1.41. Watania dived by 7.38 per cent to AED1.38. Earlier in the day, the insurance firm said it suffered net loss of AED2.4 million ($0.645m) in 2013. However, the third and fourth quarter last year were profitable.
