The Capital Club, Dubai’s premier private business club and a member of the ENSHAA group of companies, will celebrate its 6th anniversary this April 3rd with one of the largest 1920’S parties seen in Dubai.
Always the biggest event on The Capital Club’s Calendar, this year’s anniversary party sees a whole new level of sophistication as 1,500 Members and their guests come together to celebrate over three levels with jazz bands, cabaret, cocktails and bubbly in a glittering tribute to the ‘speakeasy’ prohibition era.
VIP guests, Members and friends are invited to dress the part in sophisticated costume inspired by The Great Gatsby, Bonnie & Clyde, Chicago, The Untouchables and other fantastic films set in the reckless Prohibition years of 1920-33. Entertainment and decor will match the Speakeasy theme in a spectacular celebration of style and spontaneity.
Level 3 of The Capital Club will be transformed into Harlem’s famous Cotton Club – the speakeasy where Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and countless jazz superstars rose to fame. With music from The Little Big Band, there will be Charleston and Can-Can dancing, a cabaret show, a 1920s fashion runway, a boardwalk style photo booth and a raffle prize draw. And, of course, beverages from the Prohibition era. (Shh!)
Level 5 will become Havana in the 1920’s – where jazz-era fun seekers partied under palm trees and starlit skies. Delicious desserts and Havana-style beverages will be served as the jazz band raises the roof.
Level 4 of The Capital Club will be renamed The Gatsby Lounge, inspired by the glitz and glamour of the double Oscar-winning film. As DJ Rich-E whips up a storm, Members and guests will enjoy delicious food from a themed menu devised by The Capital Club’s seasoned Chefs.
With doors opening at 8pm, the multi-floored merry-making will see those with the stamina to party Prohibition-style enjoying festivities late into the night!
