Oman reports 8.2% increase in 2013 exports

The Omani government has said the sultanate’s exports grew by 8.2% to OR21.7bn in 2013, compared with OR20.05bn in the previous year, Times of Oman has reported. The country’s non-oil exports increased by the end of the year 2013 and reached OR3.8bn, up 5.9% over the OR3.56bn recorded in 2012. Meanwhile, total export value of oil and gas by the end of 2013 was OR14.35bn, compared with OR13.97bn in 2012, indicating an annual growth rate of 2.7%.
