Doha-listed shares gained across the board on Tuesday, July 1, as the Qatar Exchange 20 Index surged 5.62 per cent to hit 12,134.14 points. Qatar National Bank gained 6.67 per cent, while Vodafone Qatar, the second telecom firm in the gas-rich Gulf state, ended up 10 per cent at QAR17.27. National Cement Company was the sole loser, closing 0.22 per cent lower at QAR134.70. Masraf Al-Rayan gained likewise 10 per cent. Earlier in the day, the bank said it will release its half-year results on Monday, July 21.
