Saudi non-oil exports up 3.2% in 2013

Saudi Arabia has recorded a 3.2% drop in non-oil exports in 2013, while imports rose by SR47.20bn, or 8.1%, to SR630.68bn, Arab News has reports. Asian countries, except Arab and Islamic ones, ranked first in terms of the value of exports of non-petroleum commodities with 54.28% of the total value of exports, and North American countries ranked second with 14.81% followed by the EU countries with 11.59%. The United States topped the list of the most important five top countries to which the kingdom exported, followed by China and Japan, the report said.
