Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), a top-tier Islamic financial services institution, received 10prestigious awards at the Islamic Finance News Awards Ceremony held at the Ritz Carlton at the Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC) in Dubai, making it the most awarded bank. The ceremony was attended by the world’s top Islamic financial institutions as well as law firms and ratings agencies.
ADIBreceived the highest ranking award for Best Overall Islamic Bank as well as awards for Best Islamic Investment Strategist of the year along with best Islamic bank in the UAE and in Egypt.
Two of the bank’s major transactions in 2013 were also recognized, ADIB earned the Syndicated Deal of the Year Award for arranging a US$340 million transaction for Gulf Marine Services, and won the deal of the year and Sukuk Deal of the Year Award for a $490 million transaction for International Islamic Liquidity Management Corporation (IILM). ADIB Egypt also received an award for Mudarabah Deal of the Year for arranging US$110 million Restricted Mudarabah Finance Facility for East Delta Electricity Production.
