Bank Sohar continues its Bank-wide tour to promote the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2014; this time holding its RO5,000 Weekly Draw at its Al Khoudh Branch, after having successfully conducted the previous draws in the MBD, Barka, Al Qurum and Privilege Banking Branches.
The tour aims to visit all Bank Sohar branch locations during the year to promote the scheme and its many benefits. The weekly draw, which took place on 1st May, saw Mr. Abdullah Bin Saif Al Sulaimani from the Bank’s Nizwa Branch win the RO5,000 as part of the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme Weekly Draw.
The Weekly Draw was presided over by Sheikh Ali Mubarak Al Turaifi, Bank Sohar VIP customer. Bank Sohar’s VIP customers alongside the Bank’s executive and senior management including Mr. Mazin Mahmood Al Raisi, AGM and Head of Marketing & Publicity, together with Mr. Redha Al Lawati, Head of Retail liabilities & Ms. Moza Humaid Said Al Mamary, Al Khoudh Branch Manager, were present to welcome the Chief Guest and witness the weekly RO5,000 draw and the announcement of the lucky winner.
The event was inaugurated with an overview of the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2014 by Mr. Redha Al Lawati, Head of Retail liabilities. Sheikh. Ali Mubarak Al Turaifi then conducted the draw to announce the winner of the tenth RO5,000 Weekly Draw. On this occasion, Mr. R Narasimhan commented, “We are committed to providing excellence in all our products and services whilst finding better ways to encourage the habit of savings in our customers and the community at large. This is why we launched the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2014 with an entirely new prize structure encompassing a wider pool of customers and a significantly larger number of draws including hourly, weekly, monthly, Mid-year and Year-end prizes. The Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2014 has been specifically tailored to meet different segments of the society with different capabilities of saving thereby ensuring that everyone gets a fair chance to win. Those maintaining RO100 for a period of 30 days or more are eligible for the Hourly and Weekly draws. General customers maintaining a minimum monthly average balance of RO1000 and Children marinating RO100 for the same period are eligible for the Monthly, Mid-year and Year end Grand Draws. There is also an Exclusive Draws for customers that maintain a minimum monthly average balance of RO10,000 in June and December, thereby ensuring that customers have an added incentive to save more and qualify for this special draw.
The Bank also has an extensive network of ATM’s totalling 50 machines across the Sultanate. In addition, Bank Sohar customers continue to enjoy the privilege of free-of-charge transactions in over 1,000 ATMs under the ‘OmanNet’ platform. Bank’s ATMs at Buraimi and Wajajah borders continue to operate with the ‘Dirhams Dispensing’ facility; thus adding immense convenience to businessmen who travel and transact business across the border on a regular basis, as well as to customers who visit the United Arab Emirates.
