Bank Sohar was presented with the “Strategic Award” under “Banks & Financial Institutions” Category for their corporate website (www.banksohar.net) from the Lebanon based Pan Arab Excellence Awards Academy. The award was handed over to the Bank at the 11th Pan Arab Web Awards held recently in Al Bustan Rotana Hotel – Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Representing the Bank at the event were Mr. Mustafa Bin Ali Mukhtar, Sr. AGM & Head of Large Corporate Banking Department & Ms. Shaima Al Saleh Assistant Manager Marketing Department at Bank Sohar. The event also played host and attracted a number of senior representatives from different organizations from different parts of the region. Mr. Pierre Moukarzel, President of Tatweej Academy and numerous Arab Ambassadors, Award Winners, and VIPs in the ICT field, Governmental personalities as well as economists, academics, diplomats, bankers, media and other reputable guests were some of the people present at the event.

The 11th PAN Arab Web Awards Academy had a distinguished panel of judges who took into account a number of key factors of all websites entered into the competition before reaching their decision and shortlisting over 325 entries. These were then evaluated based on selected criteria. Bank Sohar website scored consistently high marks across all parameters to emerge as the overall winner of the Strategic Award under Banks & Financial Institutions Category in the region.

In addition to this its latest award, Bank Sohar and the CEO were also recently named ‘Best Financial Brand Oman 2014′ and ‘Best Banking CEO Oman 2014′ respectively by renowned UK based Global Brands Magazine. The Bank recently also received ‘The Diamond Eye Award for Quality, Commitment & Excellence’ from the French based Otherways Management & Consulting Association. These awards, and the others achieved by the Bank in the recent past are a testament to the solid foundation that the Bank has been built upon and a reflection of the leadership style as well as its strong position as both, a financial institution and brand within the financial sector in the Sultanate.
