As part of its commitment to connect with its customers and build stronger relationships with them, HSBC Bank Oman S.A.O.G. recently held a reception and Charity Art Auction at the Grand Hyatt Muscat Hotel exclusively for HSBC Premier Clients. The Auction provided a unique platform for well-known local artists to showcase and sell their masterpieces for charity to HSBC Bank Oman’s Premier clients, employees and Senior Leadership Team members. Proceeds of the auction were donated directly to Dar Al Atta’a’s ‘Charity Building’ project, which will ensure sustainable income to finance Dar Al Atta’a’s charitable programmes and initiatives.
“HSBC Bank Oman is committed to connecting customers to opportunities, playing a positive role in the economy and the community, and enabling people to realise their hopes and dreams,” said Abdul Qader Al Sumali, Deputy General Manager of Retail Banking and Wealth Management at HSBC Bank Oman.
“As an active and long standing member of the Omani society, the engaging event enabled the Bank to connect with customers, celebrate local talent, including some of our very own artistic employees, and most importantly contribute to the community. This stems from our deeply rooted belief that economies flourish on the wellbeing and prosperity of their people,” he added.
The amount raised in the Charity Art Auction was matched equally by a donation from HSBC Bank Oman and donated to Dar Al Atta’a.
Prior to the event, art pieces were on display at the Bank’s Premier Centre in the Head Office in Al Khuwair to provide customers with a sneak peak preview in the days leading up to the Auction. Participating artists included Tahira Al Lawatia, Inaam Al Lawatia, Said Al Alawy, Raya Al Manjy, Saleem Al Balushi, Adnan Al Raisi, Saleh Al Alawy, Naima Al Maimani, Abdulkareem Al Maimani, Yousef Al Nahwi, Abdulmajeed Al Balushi, Shaker Al Balushi and Radhika Himalay.
