Jordan Ahli Bank recently sponsored the ArtForAll initiative – an open-air art gallery that resulted from a collaboration between artists Peter Claesson from Spain and Zaid Derbi from Jordan.

The initiative brought a variety of design and decoration works to Jabal Al Qala’a delivered by five world-renowned artists: Eric Okdeh, David Guinn from USA, Victor Ash from Denmark, Eduardo Luque Puertas, and Eduardo Baquerizo from Spain, all of whom collaborated to create art murals designed to shed light and raise awareness on the issue of water shortage both in Jordan and other parts of the globe. Jordan Ahli Bank’s support came in the form of sponsoring the mural painted by Eric Okdeh.

The bank’s management communicated that this sponsorship comes as part of the bank’s commitment to its local community, through which the bank seeks to serve various sectors with an emphasis on art and tourism – two sectors that deliver far-reaching benefits to the Kingdom across various socio-economic levels.

The bank’s management also stressed that such initiatives help reinforce the aesthetics of many of the old areas in the Capital, highlighting its rich sociocultural and historical heritage and helping to develop its modern identity without tarnishing its ageless legacy. More importantly, such initiatives present Amman as a cultural hub that embraces and promotes art and creativity, which in turn has the potential to encourage internal and external tourism.

The ArtForAll initiative launched in Amman after encountering tremendous success in various locations worldwide, where it had also managed to deliver a plethora of remarkable artworks that imbued the cultural and historical heritage of these locations.
