After the successful conclusion of the first semester of the School Adoption Program, King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre managed by Hilton, in partnership with INJAZ, celebrated 70 students graduation at Al-Sweimeh School for Girls.
KHBTCC joined forces with INJAZ last year as part of the property’s community involvement program to help provide “real life” career development insight to select students across seventh, eighth and ninth grades. To date, staff from KHBTCC have presented and highlighted key areas of business, from personal planning to success skills with plans to develop further business understanding this coming semester on the subjects of leadership and money management.
Due to the success of Hilton KHBTCC’s partnership with INJAZ, it has been decided to extend the partnership to include Al-Sweimeh School for Boys. The pupils will take part in “the Business challenge” course, with the goal of learning corporate ethical strategies, basic business concepts and role playing realistic business scenarios via a unique online business game.
“I am delighted at the success to date of our partnership with KHBTCC,” said Muhannad Jarrah, executive director of the Skills Building Program at INJAZ. ” The students at Al-Sweimeh School for Girls have already learned so much about working life and career choices, and we now have the prospect of Al-Sweimeh School for boys participating in this productive and inspiring initiative.”
“This program is at the heart of our goal to encourage young people in Jordan and also reflects the importance we place on developing our team members to engage and strengthen relations in the communities in which we work,” said Kamel Ajami, Hilton Worldwide country manager – Jordan .
“The expansion of the initiative to now include the boys school is a clear sign we are on the right track, and I look forward to further progress during the remainder of the school year.”
