The Presidential Assistant of the Republic of Sudan, Colonel Abdul Rahman Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi, lauded the growing bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and Sudan, and expressed his keenness to boost them further in the interest of the people of the two countries.
Colonel Mahdi made these remarks during a recent meeting in his office at the Presidential Palace while welcoming a delegation from the American University of Ras Al Khaimah, headed by President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Hamdan Alalkim, in the presence of Sudan’s Ambassador to UAE, H.E. Hassan Ahmed al-Shehhi and Yacoub Tahtamouni, Director of Communications and External Relations at the university. The visit was aimed particularly at boosting bilateral relations in the fields of education and economic development.
The delegation briefed the Presidential Assistant on the goals of the university and its plans for expansion, and the scope for expanding relations between the university and the student community of different nations, including Sudan.
The university delegation’s visit sought to highlight the standing of the university and get its programs approved by the Ministry of Education of Sudan. The delegation met several officials in the field of education and visited a number of prestigious universities in Sudan, to discuss areas of cooperation and sign agreements and memorandums of understanding.
