The sixth edition of the annual Al Ain Education & Career Fair (AECF), which takes place at the Al Ain Convention Centre on 28-30 April, have recently signed a partnership to host free onsite assessments with cut-e, a world leader in the design and implementation of online tests for use in recruitment, selection and development of people in the business world.
The method is said to provide a range of information about an individual’s aptitude, attitude and values or how they are likely to behave when put in a challenging situation. Psychometric assessments are used to help organisations identify the best staff with the right capabilities, competencies and cultural fit to deliver optimal business results for their organisation.
David Barrett, Managing Director of cut-e says they have seen an increase in demand for Psychometric Testing “This is our second year of operation in the Middle East, and in just this short time we have witnessed a significant increase in demand. The economies in the gulf region vary dramatically, from capital resource intensive energy entities to logistics and sales. A common thread in the growth of Psychometric Testing is the increasing need to hire talent from an early stage, and from local populations.”
“The people element is ultimately the most competitive and sustainable advantage you can have, and Psychometric assessment is a very effective and efficient method to minimize the cost of bad hire which we all know has a huge negative impact on every business.” added Barrett.
cut-e, who have worked with blue chip companies such as Emirates, Mudadala, Alkhorayef, Etihad Airways, Aujan and Dubai Duty Free will be offering free online assessments at their stand. Visitors will be able to meet with specialised consultants, practice the tests, and receive a personalised report highlighting areas for development and help in evaluating the most suitable career path.
“To have cut-e on-board for the next edition of the fair is exciting indeed. This is the first time we have had Psychometric Testing as a part of the show, and it will offer visitors a whole new aspect of career progression. It is becoming more integrated in to a company’s recruitment process, and to be able to practice this method before going through the real thing would give anyone an advantage” said Khurram Saeed, Exhibition Director, Al Ain Education & Career Fair.
