Saudi Arabia amends higher education law

Saudi higher education minister, Khaled Al-Anqari has said the cabinet has approved a number of resolutions aimed at boosting higher education in the country and facilitating higher studies among university staff members, Arab News has reported. King Abdullah approved changes to the law governing higher studies of university staff, allowing them to go for higher education within the kingdom with full pay and transfer allowance. “The benefits include allowance for full-time doctors, pharmacists, specialists, paramedics and lecturers at colleges of medicine, dentistry, pharmacology, nursing, applied medical sciences and university hospitals,” said Al-Anqari.
