Tamkeen concluded its ‘A9eel in School’ student exhibition at Seef Mall on Thursday 20th of February 2014 with an award ceremony to honour the winning teams. The exhibition and award ceremony were the last phase of the ‘A9eel in School’ programme, which Tamkeen offers in partnership with the Ministry of Education as part of its efforts to develop Bahraini human capital based on the requirements of the labour market and make Bahrainis the employees of choice.
All schools that participated in the exhibition were honored, of which the top three winners were Saar Secondary Girls School, which came in the first place, followed by Al Hoora Secondary Girls School in second place and Isa Town Secondary Girls School in third place.
The winning teams were selected based on the votes of the exhibition’s visitors and the recommendations of the competition’s jury, which consisted of representatives of Tamkeen and the Ministry of Education. In their efforts to win public vote, each participating team showed visitors how their project reflected A9eel’s values which are embodied in Attitude, Attendance, Appearance, Ambition, Acceptance, Accountability, and Appreciation.
The declaration of winners is the final phase of the ‘A9eel in School’ programme, which extends over a full academic semester and covers 12 modules to prepare students for the competition. Launched in 2009, the ‘A9eel in School’ programme is part of the efforts of both Tamkeen and the Ministry of Education to develop positive attitudes and practices and instil basic work ethics among Bahraini youths to prepare them for the labour market.
