USAID concludes $50m education reform programme in Jordan

USAID has announced the completion of its five-year, $50m Education Reform Support Programme (ERSP) in Jordan, which included the renovation of hundreds of schools and benefitted tens of thousands of students throughout the kingdom, Jordan Times has reported. The programme refurbished 544 public kindergartens and trained more than 2,800 kindergarten through grade three teachers, and taught 2,000 school principals ways to improve teaching practices, USAID said.
