Egyptian armed forces to upgrade 31 hospitals

Egypt’s health ministry has signed a protocol with the armed forces’ National Service Products Organisation (NSPO) to upgrade 31 hospitals at a total cost of EGP1bn, Daily News Egypt has reported. Health minister, Adel Hassan Al-Adawi said the hospitals are suffering from “deterioration in their performance.” Of the 31 hospitals, 14 are located in Upper Egypt, 13 hospitals in Lower Egypt and 3 hospitals in the border governorates, the minister noted.
