As part of its social commitments and the dedication to raise the health awareness among all the segments of the society, Royal Bahrain Hospital (RBH) –a 60-bed, multi-specialty based in Salmaniya, Bahrain – has conducted a health check up for all the DHL’s staff, marking the DHL health and safety week, which included several lectures and obtaining blood tests. The health and safety week took place at the DHL headquarter in Um el Hassam, recently.
Held at the DHL’s premises in Um Al Hassam, a delegation from RBH constituted of several doctors and nurses have obtained blood tests and conducted several health awareness lectures, concerning the common illness and disease that people are suffering from lately, such as blood pressure, diabetes and obesity, which are considered the most common chronic diseases spreading among a large segment of the society.
Commenting on this, Medical Director, Dr. Stephen Angamuthu, said, “I would like to express my appreciation for the DHL management’s wide efforts for organizing such an awareness week. DHL Health Week is a wonderful opportunity for their employees to learn more about the steps they should take to live a healthier life. And I highly encourage other organizations to follow suit and organize an annual health week for their employees.” “Unfortunately the numbers of patients suffering from chronic diseases, therefore raising awareness on the necessary measures to avoid them is very important,” he added.
Worth mentioning, RBH delivers state-of-the-art-medical care with a professional team of doctors, nurses, paramedics and administrators, combined with high-end facilities and equipment from countries such as Germany and the USA. Furthermore, the hospital has a modern Hospital Information System (HIS), which allows operations to be almost paperless. It provides affordable, safe and competent care to its patients, keeping with the highest international standards.
