Enshaa awards Emicool new cooling plant deal

UAE-based developer and hospitality company, Enshaa said it has has awarded a long-term contract to Emirates District Cooling (Emicool) for chilled water supply at two of its landmark developments, the Palazzo Versace Dubai Hotel and Condominiums and the D1 Tower, Gulf Today has reported. Under the terms of the deal, Emicool will design, build, finance and operate the plant that will make use of Treated Sewerage Effluent (TSE) for its cooling towers, thus saving considerable volumes of potable drinking water, and the ensuing energy saved as a result. Emicool is to start supplying the Chilled Water for the air conditioning by September 2014.
