Kodak will showcase the latest innovations in contemporary flexo pre-press technology to tackle the industry’s most demanding challenges at the first edition of the Packaging MEA Forum. Aimed at facilitating a professional dialogue within the packaging fraternity in the region, the event will take place onDec.9 and 10 at The Oberoi, Dubai.
On the first day of the forum Kris Capiau, Kodak’s Business Director for Middle East and Turkey, will be discussing how to maximise shelf impact and production efficiencies – two common goals shared by brand owners, designers, pre-press service providers and printers across the board –during his presentation entitled ‘How to meet the most demanding flexible packaging challenges using contemporary flexo pre-press technology’.
“Empowering the industry to do more with less is always a formidable challenge, but with the latest flexo pre-press technologies, this is possible,” said Capiau.”During the session, we will present some of the latest advancements and solutions availabletoprovide enhanced image reproduction, an extended colour gamut, gravure-like print densities and greater design freedom.”
A refusal to accept that inconsistency, poor repeatability and compromised print quality are “just normal” has driven the development of game-changing Kodak technologies for flexo printing, where Kodak has broad expertise and experience as an innovative supplier to brands and print service providers.
An offshoot of the bi-monthly Packaging MEA magazine, the first technology-oriented B2B publication to focus on the packaging industry in Middle East and Africa, the forum has been tailored to encourage trade, technology transfer, investment and growth in the packaging industry in the region.
