Mannai HED, the Heavy Equipment Division of Mannai Trading Company, official Dealer for JCB heavy equipment in Qatar, recently welcomed Lord Bamford, chairman of JCB to the country.
Lord Bamford visited Qatar as part of an international business itinerary and was welcomed to the country by senior members of Mannai Corporation. He met with senior representatives of Mannai Corporation and visited Mannai HED’s facilities in Doha.
Mr. Mohammed Helmy, Group General Manager, Mannai Auto, said: “Lord Bamford’s visit was extremely positive. We discussed potential opportunities in Qatar which is still in the throes of development and we agreed on many opportunities to add value to our existing partnerships within the sector.”

Lord Bamford has been instrumental in guiding JCB’s growth and in expanding an already successful UK business into a leading global manufacturer since taking the reins at JCB. He has taken JCB from a one-factory operation in Staffordshire to a global business with 22 plants around the world employing over 10,000 people making over 300 different products.
He has been at the helm of JCB since 1975 as Chairman of the firm, succeeding his father, the late Joseph Cyril Bamford, who founded the company in 1945. He was knighted in 1990 at the age of 45. And in 2013, Sir Anthony Bamford assumed the title of Lord Bamford after being appointed a life peer (Baron) by the British Government.
Since its establishment, the company has won more than 50 awards for export, marketing, design, technology and for its care for the environment.
