Saudi Arabia has ranked first among GCC countries with industrial investments, accounting for 51.3% of the total industrial investments in the region, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported. According to a report by the Saudi Industrial Property Authority (Modon), factories in Saudi Arabia are the most attractive to workers in this field, thanks to their favorable business environment. The number of workers in the Saudi factories represents 51.1% of the total number of factories in the GCC factories. The number of factories in the Saudi industrial cities reaches 5400 (working or under construction), with investments estimated at nearly SR450bn. These factories have more than 310 thousand workers, with a surge of over 177% compared with 2007.
