Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and chairman of the Emirates Falconers Club, supported by The Cultural Programs and Heritage Festivals Committee, and organized by the Emirates Falconers Club at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, the 12th edition of Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (Abu Dhabi 2014) will be held from 10 to 13 September 2014.
As a part of the promotional campaign of Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition in order to attract more exhibitors and visitors from around the world, the organizing committee continues a series of participations in various specialized international exhibitions, as it has completed several successful and fruitful participations in a number of the most important specialized international exhibitions, specially its effective attendance in 7 specialized exhibitions in various types of hunting and equestrian in Germany. The most important of these exhibitions was IWA, the international trade fair for hunting and sport shooting equipment that was held in Nuremberg city last March where many partnerships contracts were concluded with German and European companies that will participate in Abu Dhabi’s for the first time, in addition to similar exhibitions in each of Switzerland and Austria.
UAE participated with a specialized delegation presided by Mr. Abdullah Butti Al Qubaisi, director of the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition and Mr. Mattar Khalfan Al Shamsi, member of the Organizing Committee, in addition to numerous representatives of specialized Emirati companies in the field of hunting and equestrian and representatives of Informa, the exhibition’s organizer.
Many companies and visitors of the European exhibitions have shown their great interest in Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, and expressed their desire to participate in the 12th edition of the event dedicated to the world of hunting and equestrian that will be held next September.
In general, the German participation in Abu Dhabi exhibition is one of the largest participations among the previous editions, and it featured a great percentage in terms of number of participants and the hired space, as the exhibiting companies enjoy encouraging economic revenues. The International hunting and Equestrian Exhibition is at a forward position among the top hunting exhibition worldwide, in terms of number of visitors and it plays an important role in attracting visitors and tourists from the GCC region and the world in general.
The last edition of the International hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (Abu Dhabi 2013) witnessed a record on the level of public turnout over 11 years since its launching in 2003, which enjoyed the participation of 40 countries, represented with more than 600 exhibitors and companies hosted by the Emirati capital on a space that exceeded 39 thousand square meters.
The exhibition events drew the attention of tens of thousands of visitors from Abu Dhabi and from all of the UAE citizens and residents, in addition to thousands of locals and foreigners from the GCC. The great attendance of families and all age groups was notable in the exhibition that became a family public festival appropriate and interesting to all family and community members who find in what the hunting and equestrian exhibition offers a rare opportunity to learn about the genuine Emirati heritage.
The Number of the exhibition visitors over its 4 days from 4 to 7 September 2013 reached (118994), which is the biggest number of visitors the exhibition attracted throughout its history, compared to 111298 visitors in Abu Dhabi 2012 edition, and about 95 thousand visitors in Abu Dhabi 2011 edition. It should be noted that the exhibition had been opening its doors daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. incessantly.
Mr. Abdullah Al Qubaisi, director of International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition explained that the exhibition, the most prominent and the most famous in region and the only one dedicated in hunting, equestrian, marine sports, safari trips, arts and antiques in the region, offers its visitors since its launching in 2003 an opportunity to possess state-of-the art camping, hunting, equestrian, outdoor and marine equipment. The exhibition also enables its visitors to view the deep-rooted Emirati heritage through Abu Dhabi city, interact with thousands of hunting and outdoor sports fans, enjoy much of the cultural heritage activities and live shows, and engage in exciting competitions that introduces participants to the established traditions of Abu Dhabi and UAE in general.
