The 13th edition of the annual Ramadan Forum will kick off tomorrow, July 3rd, this year, offering live English translation of Arabic lectures for non-Arabic audience. To be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DTWC) for the second time in a row, the 12-day forum is set to roll out a bigger and newer agenda this year, which will run until July 14, 2014, said organizers of the forum, the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).
The Ramadan Forum is being held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation. Speaking about this year’s edition, Hamad Bin Mejren, Executive Director of Business Tourism for DTCM and General Coordinator for the 13th Ramadan Forum, said: “We have expanded this year’s program to include new activities and to enhance our annual calendar of events. Apart from lectures in Arabic, Urdu, Malayalam, Tagalog and English, we have introduced a lecture in a new foreign language, namely Bengali. We are also offering live English translation of Arabic lectures to further reach out to our non-Arabic audience. With specially designed Apple and Android apps, those residing in areas outside of Dubai will be able to watch the live streaming of the lectures within the comforts of their homes. In addition to many other new updates, we have also organized live broadcast of the lectures in public areas in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. Altogether, individuals and families can look forward to a bigger offering this year and participate in the various activities all through the 12 days of the forum.”
