Abu Dhabi allows fruits, vegetables to be sold from trucks

The UAE economy ministry has announced the Abu Dhabi municipality has allowed trucks to sell fruits and vegetables to consumers at the Mina Zayed Souq from 7pm to midnight, Khaleej Times has reported. Trucks, which transport fruits and vegetables from Abu Dhabi and other countries, are not allowed to directly sell at the Fruits and Vegetable market of Mina Zayed, but the ministry said it had requested the municipality to allow trucks to sell the commodities during the holy month of Ramadan in order to meet the huge demand for fresh farm produces.
