Al Meera to open eight new malls, shares fail to join rally

The Doha-based Qatar Exchange (QE) 20 Index closed 0.70 per cent higher at 13,838.40 points on Wednesday, September 3.

Retail giant Al Meera Consumer Goods Company fell by 0.40 per cent to QAR185. Earlier in the day, Al Meera said it opened its recent branch in Legtaifiya, while proceeding with the construction of eight new malls set to open by the end of 2014, beginning with the Jeryan Nejaima branch, in addition to the opening of a new store in The Gulf Mall.
