Atkins has appointed Keith Miller as business development director for its activities in the high growth communications market across the Middle East, including regional responsibility for its information and communications technology (ICT) delivery team.
Keith brings substantial experience to the role from his 40-year career, which includes senior positions in the Middle East with Agilent, TCSI and BT Al Saudia, where he was responsible for driving product, professional services and consultancy sales and delivery. Keith will cover both business development and service delivery, working closely with Atkins’ ICT specialists within the Middle East and the UK.
Graham Outterside, managing director of Defence, Security and Communications for Atkins in the Middle East, said, “The Middle East has a rapidly growing market for strategic communications services, and this is an area which Atkins is very well placed to support. Keith has vast knowledge of the sector and his appointment reflects our commitment to really understand and support our clients’ needs. His involvement in major communications product and service led programmes worldwide will be invaluable as we assist clients with their own critical acquisition programmes.”
Atkins delivers mission critical communications based network services, software and ICT solutions, from high-level concepts through to acquisition, deployment and training.
Keith added, “Strong region-wide investment in broadband infrastructure, alongside major milestones such as the 2022 World Cup and Expo 2020, are driving significant opportunities which fit very well with Atkins’ technical expertise and experience. I’m looking forward to capitalising on this and to working closely with clients to support their projects and programmes.”
