Bahrain Duty Free has blamed a fall in passenger numbers for a decline in sales for 2013, DFNI has reported. Sales in 2013 fell to $69.1m from $72.9m in the previous year, while sales in the fourth quarter stood at $18.5m, compared with $19.4m in the same quarter a year earlier. Despite the drop in sales, full year net income climbed to $17.1m, compared with $16.9m a year ago, while the fourth quarter net profit rose 5% to $3.6m from the 2012 figure of $3.4m.
