In line with its corporate social responsibility towards the Jordanian society, City Mall and King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) are raising awareness on cancer and KHCF’s role in fighting the disease, through a three day information section at the mall starting February 6th until the 8th.
City Mall’s partnership with the Foundation is to support national efforts to combat cancer and raise awareness around its causes and types, as the global community marks World Cancer Day, annually on February 4th.
The informative section at the Mall staffed by the Foundation’s personnel will be distributing brochures detailing the potential causes of cancer, how to prevent it, the importance of early detection and the available treatment methods.
Commenting on City Mall’s support to this activity, Ms. Maram Enaya, Commercial Manager at City Mall, said: “City Mall is sponsoring this activity out of its firm belief in the important role King Hussein Cancer Foundation plays in fighting cancer; the second most common cause of death in Jordan.”
“The level of public awareness of this disease is an important factor to ensure its prevention. The more people learn about cancer, the more motivated they will be to adopt a healthy lifestyle and undergo regular checkups,” Ms. Enaya added.
“We at City Mall are always happy to renew our ongoing commitment towards the King Hussein Cancer Foundation. We stand side-by-side with the Foundation in its efforts to reach out to the Jordanian community and combat this deadly disease.”
