The Cove Rotana Resort – Ras Al Khaimah on its third year participation for the ‘Al Basma Camp’ ‘The smile camp’ for Diabetic Children held 31st March 2014, in Ras Al Khaimah Sports Hall.
The event was attended by more than 200 children and their supervisors. The Cove Rotana Team participated in this Corporate Social Responsibility event by preparing and teaching the children how to make simple, healthy and diabetic-friendly food in a fun way.
The Al Basma Camp is held by the Ras Al Khaimah Health Department under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Mahra bint Ahmed, Chairwoman of Ras Al Khaimah Women’s Society. Now in its seventh consecutive year, the camp invites diabetic children aged 8 to 14 years old from across the UAE and GCC to Ras Al Khaimah for five days of fun educational activities to teach them about diabetes and how to live a healthier life.
