The largest consumer electronics exhibition in the emirate, the Abu Dhabi Electronics Shopper 2014, was inaugurated at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) today with world-class electronics brands and retailers providing exclusive deals to stoke visitor enthusiasm at the event.
Organised by DOME Exhibitions and held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Development, Abu Dhabi Electronics Shopper (ADES) debuted in 2013. The 2014 edition of ADES is spread across twice the exhibition space as its predecessor and set to draw 110,000 visitors over four days, from 26 February 26 – 1 March. With around 40 exhibitors at ADES 2014, the event is anticipated to register minimum sales volume of AED50 million.
Antoine Georges, Managing Director, DOME Exhibitions, said: “Abu Dhabi Electronic Shopper caters to a dynamic target market that offers as many opportunities as challenges. Even as we offer latest innovations in the market, we continue to track consumer preferences so we have an answer to every discerning requirement for top of the line products. It is a matter of great pride for us that the first edition of ADES enjoyed high success with the Abu Dhabi audience, who are known to assess products for their real quality and worth.
“ADES 2014 is set to deepen its engagement with the emirate of Abu Dhabi with this year’s edition of the show. We are confident the event will grow to become an annual fixture in the emirate’s events calendar.”
ADES provides an opportunity for world-class brands such as Samsung, Nikon, Canon, Huawei, Sharp, Hisense, Philips, and Sharp to display their latest offerings across a range of electronic equipment and devices including mobile gadgets, home and kitchen appliances, home entertainment devices and technologies, computers, gaming options, GPS, office automation, cameras and camcorders, security devices, plus accessories, back-ups and auxiliaries. Major local electronics retailers displaying their comprehensive product ranges also include Sharaf DG, Emax, Plug-Ins, Costless, E-City, Grand Stores, Thomsun Electronics and Techlink.
Among the latest offerings, Samsung’s revolutionary washing machine, which uses a novel AIR wash and eco-bubble technology, is expected to create a buzz at ADES 2014.
A live stage show by the popular Indian dancer and choreographer Raghav Juyal is billed as a crowd puller at ADES 2014. Known as the ‘King of Slow Motion’, the entertainment fare will mark Raghav Juyal’s debut performance in the UAE where he has a sizeable fan following.
For the convenience of visitors, ADES is providing free shuttle service to ADNEC every hour between 11:00am and 11:00pm. Buses to the exhibition venue are available from Al Wahda Mall and Abu Dhabi Mall in Abu Dhabi City and from Safeer Mall in Mussafah.
