Khalid Ali Bin Zayed, Assistant Director-General for International Affairs and Partnerships at Dubai Municipality welcomed the delegation from the Municipality of Chongqing, China, who visited Dubai Municipality headed by Fan E Mai Yang, deputy head of the secretariat of the Chongqing Municipality. The meeting was attended by Ismail Al Banna, Director of Corporate Marketing and Relations department.
This meeting comes within the framework of seeking ways to strengthen relations between the two countries, discuss ways of cooperation and coordination between Dubai Municipality and the Municipality of Chongqing in various relevant areas as well as to discuss the possibility of cooperation between the two parties.
Initially, Khalid bin Zayed welcomed the delegation and stressed the importance of communication and cooperation between the cities to exchange experiences and benefit from the experiences and best practices in various fields.
He briefed about the city of Dubai and its achievements, and explained the organizational structure of the municipality, which is chaired by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and the role of Dubai Municipality in providing services to the community and maintaining the cleanliness of the city and the preservation of the environment, in addition to the service projects and other things that meet the needs of the community.
The head of the delegation praised the beauty of the city of Dubai and its quest to provide all the high-end services to the community, and stressed the need for communication and cooperation between Dubai Municipality and the cities of China and in particular the city of Chongqing.
Chongqing is a major city in Southwest China and one of the five national central cities in the People’s Republic of China (PRC). Administratively, it is one of the PRC’s four direct-controlled municipalities (the other three are Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin), and the only such municipality in inland China.
