Ferrari World Abu Dhabi kicked off the 2014 Chinese Visitor Summit in true championship style with an adrenalin-fuelled welcome event. The delegates, comprised of 90 influential Chinese buyers and media representatives, were treated to a thrilling Ferrari World Abu Dhabi event to mark the official opening of the two-day summit.
The guests were invited to immerse themselves in the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi experience as part of an organized tour of Abu Dhabi’s hottest leisure destination, Yas Island. The tour showcased the significant entertainment and leisure offerings and unique meeting, incentives, conferences and exhibitions facilities that combine to make Yas Island the perfect destination for both tourism and business. Key representatives from Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority and the regional travel and tourism industry joined the delegation to network in an evening full of thrills and excitement at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
A welcome reception celebrated the synergy between Ferrari’s eponymous logo, the ‘Prancing Horse’ which is emblazoned on the Park’s roof and considered the largest Ferrari logo ever created, and 2014 as the ‘Year of the Horse’ in the Chinese zodiac calendar. Guests were then invited to brave ‘Formula Rossa’, the world’s fastest rollercoaster and take a leisurely ride on ‘Viaggio in Italia’, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi’s beautiful aerial tour of Italy’s most breath-taking scenery.
Jesse Vargas, General Manager, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, welcomed the delegates for a full throttle dinner which kept pulses racing with live entertainment provided by RED dance troupe. The international cast of performers dazzled audiences with a short demo of their acrobatic routine that is inspired by Enzo Ferrari’s love for speed, racing and Italian style. The Park’s friendly characters Khalil the Camel and Berto the Bear also participated in the evening’s program of activities before a prize raffle concluded the fun-filled evening.
Commenting on the event, Vargas said: “We are delighted to host, for the second time in a row, the official opening event of the Chinese Visitor Summit, particularly because we believe there is a unique association this year as we celebrate the ‘Year of the Horse’. On our red roof lies the world’s largest Ferrari logo depicting the beautiful ‘Prancing Horse’ and we believe there could not be a better venue than the Park to kick-off this year’s event.”
