Jobedu revealed outstanding results from its recently launched crowd-investing campaign on Eureeca’s website which garnered $118,000, and continues to grow.
Beginning at Jordan’s Souk JARA in 2007, the idea was brought to light by Tamer Al Masri and Michael Makdah, two young Jordanians who saw their clothing brand surpass its set goals in record time. Jobedu has gradually expanded to regional and global markets and now exports to nine countries worldwide.
In efforts to spotlight Arabic pop culture, Jobedu encouraged young designers to share their designs, which would later be shortlisted through popular vote and added to the company’s selection. Becoming widely reputed as a people’s brand that relates to youth and their mindsets, Jobedu has successfully bridged the gap between Arabic and western cultures.
The move was widely welcomed by the public becoming an official section on Jobedu’s website in 2014 that continues to play an integral role in the company’s decision-making through the involvement of Jobedu’s network of employees, customers, designers along with family and friends. Continuing its success, Jobedu launched its crowd-investing campaign via Eureeca.com in efforts to raise funds for regional and international market expansions; hence, resulting in recent exports to the GCC, Lebanon and Egypt followed by exports to Brazil, Norway, the USA, Australia and Germany.
Jobedu has shown its honest intentions by involving the community in everything they do, which has undoubtedly helped it reach western markets. The initiative has recently gathered a remarkable $118,000 in few days and was successfully over funded thanks to high consumer confidence levels and investors who strongly believe in Jobedu’s mission. Jobedu’s crowd-investing campaign is an ongoing initiative that has set a new benchmark for more funds currently being raised. Eureeca.com described the ongoing campaign as one marked with profound success as it has surpassed its set target and attracted 28 investors in record time and setting a new target with more investments under the campaign.
Starting with an initial budget of $4,000 and only six designs, Jobedu currently has over 160 designs showcased at its two branches after having collaborated with more than 50 Arab artists.
Eureeca.com is a startup based in Dubai and is a global crowd-investing platform where businesses raise capital to expand and grow from a crowd of investors in exchange for shares in their business. Eureeca.com will continue to support projects like that of Jobedu’s through its online campaigns.
