Mahmoudia Motors, the sole and official dealer of the Jaguar and Land Rover brands in Jordan, has kicked off its Ramadan CSR campaign by co-distributing care packages with the Family Kitchen initiative to a number of impoverished families in the Umm ar-Rasas and Gharnata areas on Monday 30 June, 2014. The campaign, which is one of several that the Company is carrying out this Ramadan, saw the participation of a number of Mahmoudia Motors employees in a show of solidarity and team spirit.
Mahmoudia Motors also organized an Iftar for 193 orphans from various organizations in the Kingdom on Thursday 3 July, 2014, at the Children’s Museum Jordan. The children, along with Mahmoudia Motors’ participating employees, enjoyed a variety of activities that included many interactive learning experiences offered by the Museum.
Commenting about the Company’s CSR program during Ramadan, Abdimajid Haithar, General Manager of Mahmoudia Motors, said, “Through these programs we aspire to promote compassion and the sense of unity inspired by the month of Ramadan, while staying true to our year-round CSR strategy, which is geared towards helping the less fortunate and bringing a smile to children’s faces.”
Family Kitchen is a non-profit humanitarian organization in Jordan bringing food security to the less privileged. Beneficiaries are chosen in cooperation with local civil society organizations to ensure that the poorest families receive support.
The Children’s Museum Jordan is a non-profit educational organization launched by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah in 2007. The Museum offers over 150 indoor and outdoor permanent exhibits and educational facilities, such as the library and art studio, in addition to year-round educational programs and events for children. Since opening, the Children’s Museum has welcomed over 1 million visitors.
