McDonald’s Egypt revealed its expansion plan in the Egyptian market through which it aims to double its investments and provide more than 10,000 new job opportunities over the next six years.
As part of its expansion plan across all governorates, McDonald’s Egypt opened its first branch in Dakahlia.
The new branch, located in the most vibrant area of Mansoura, was established at a cost of EGP6m and provides more than 50 job opportunities to the area’s youth. It also offers additional services through its party room, where birthday parties and other celebrations can be hosted.
Alaa Fathi, General Manager of McDonald’s Egypt, stated, “The opening of the Mansoura branch and the Port Said branch witnessed overwhelming demand, which encourages us to move forward and continue with our expansion as we plan to open more branches in ten new governorates before 2020.”
He added, “McDonald’s Egypt’s new branches not only offer new job opportunities and quality services to customers, they also adopt new environment-friendly and energy saving technology, which confirms McDonald’s Egypt’s commitment to social responsibility towards the community in which it operates.”
McDonald’s Egypt invested an estimated EGP800m in the Egyptian market and plans to invest more than EGP1bn in the coming six years by opening more branches than those opened in the past 20 years. This means greater support to the Egyptian economy and more employment opportunities to increase development.
