The National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) has conducted the second training session for staff on the planned 2014 survey of Khareef Salalah visitors.
The training which was held during June 16 – 17, in Hamdan Plaza Hotel, Salalah, focused on the procedures of quantifying visitor numbers, interacting with visitors for the survey questionnaire and how to correctly use the field devices used in collecting data.
The training session also focused on the importance of capturing the relevant and accurate data without within a short time period.
In the second training session conducted by the NCSI, the field representatives were trained in collecting data of vehicles with plate numbers from other countries including number of the plate, color of the car, and data about the owner. The visitors’ survey will also include taking opinion of the visitors while leaving Salalah, this in addition to the points discussed in the first survey which was conducted in Muscat.
All visitors to the Khareef Salalah will be quantified during the Khareef period from June 21 – September 21, with the aim to collect data about their nationality and place of residence. The NCSI representatives will be positioned in Hareet Outlet, Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport to collect data from the visitors about their nationality, place of residence, and the purpose of visit and where they plan to stay.
