Al Ahli Holding Group (AAHG), a multi-diversified international conglomerate, has entered into an unprecedented strategic alliance with Marvel to become a primary sponsor for the world red-carpet premieres of Marvel Studios’ next five motion picture releases between 2016 and 2018.
As part of the partnership, the UAE-based company has also received the exclusive red-carpet premiere live streaming sponsorship rights from Marvel for two big releases in 2016 and 2017.
The Marvel Studios motion pictures that AAHG will sponsor are Captain America: Civil War and Doctor Strange, scheduled for the year 2016; Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Thor: Ragnarok, scheduled for 2017; and Avengers: Infinity War – Part I, which is scheduled to be released in 2018.
AAHG will also showcase its products, including innovative Super Hero collectibles developed by AAHG subsidiary Comicave Studios, at the after parties of these five mega movies.
“Our partnership with Marvel began in the year 2006, with the first Iron Man movie. Since then we have teamed up on several projects. This new partnership comes close on the heels of our successful launch of both the four-foot-tall animatronic Hulkbuster and the Iron Man collection at the global red-carpet premiere of Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron last year. With this partnership, we have taken our relationship to the next level as we will sponsor the world premieres of Marvel’s next five blockbusters, where we will ensure that every premiere turns out to be a milestone in our strategic alliance,” said Mohammed Khammas, CEO, Al Ahli Holding Group.
Furthering the partnership, AAHG will also be the exclusive live streaming sponsor during the world premieres of Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War and Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
“Anyone fortunate enough to have seen the absolutely unforgettable animatronic Hulkbuster Mohammed speaks of —whether in person on the red carpet or on our livestream coverage — will immediately understand why partnering with the Al Ahli Holding Group for these premieres makes so much sense,” said Peter Phillips, EVP/GM, Interactive & Digital Distribution, Marvel Entertainment. “Comicave Studios produces some of the highest quality collectibles in the world,” continued Phillips. “Their versions of Marvel Super Heroes deserve the biggest stage possible. And what’s bigger than a Marvel red-carpet premiere?”
AAHG, with its presence in 20 countries, plans to further strategically enhance its entertainment businesses and is also looking at charting newer territories internationally. The company’s Singapore-based high-end collectibles manufacturing subsidiary, Comicave Studios, recently debuted to international praise at the global red-carpet premiere of Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron in Los Angeles in April 2015, wowing pop culture and Super Hero fans with its animatronic Hulkbuster collectible.
“Al Ahli Group continues to strengthen its relationship with Marvel as we sincerely believe our alliance allows us to enhance our global brands together. Partnering with Marvel for their future blockbusters will allow Al Ahli Group to unveil products and brands targeting right market segments and consumers associated with super hero flicks. Further, being an exclusive live streaming sponsor during the world premiere of the much-anticipated sequels Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will enhance our reach across digital media platforms,” said Abdulla Mahmood, Director, Marketing and Corporate Communications, AAHG.
“Beginning with Marvel’s Thor in 2011, we’ve put on some great livestream shows direct from Marvel’s red carpet premieres,” said John Cerilli, VP Content & Programming, Marvel Digital Media Group. “Now with AAHG as our exclusive livestreaming sponsor for Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War and Guardians of the Galaxy 2, the best is yet to come. Personally, I can’t wait to see the product Comicave will be featuring on the red carpet because I know it’s going to blow everyone’s minds.”
AAHG has also successfully launched Comicave, which is the world’s largest comic book and collectibles destination in Dubai Outlet Mall. Further, through its strategic alliances with top Hollywood studios, it became the only publisher and distributor (outside of USA) of leading comic book titles in English and Arabic through Al Ahli Publishing and Distribution.
