Dubai is to host the third of a series of planned regional seminars targeting professionals based in the Middle East who work in the financial industry. The event will be held on 2nd March at the Shangri-La hotel in Dubai.
Organised by CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, together with CFA Society Emirates, each event will include presentations from leading regional and international speakers who will discuss a range of topical trends and issues affecting the financial and investment sectors.
Hosted for CFA charterholders and members, the seminars are also open to the public. Subsequent events will also be held on 3rd March in Bahrain, 4th March in Kuwait and 5th March in Qatar.
Presentations will include:
• Saker Nusseibeh, CEO and Head of Investment at Hermes Fund Manager
• Leonardo Peklar, Leadership & Corporate Governance Advisor (Ex CEO of Hawkamah)
• Kate Lander, CFA, Head of Education at CFA Institute EMEA
Presenters will share their insight on the ongoing challenges the industry faces in the areas of shareholder protection and disclosure as well as how a range a local market resources from the Future of Finance project can be accessed.
